Join as an Ambassador

YEUK's  Youth Ambassadors are a dynamic team of volunteers who work together to help YEUK tackle some of the youth employment barriers young people experience.  This is how we spent our time in 2014. The Youth Ambassador programme is open all year round, we ask for a commitment of just 15 hours a month from our Youth Ambassadors.  In exchange we give all the training and mentoring support they need. Youth Ambassadors take part in events, summits and a wide spectrum of projects as well as writing for our website.  We try to make sure that all of our Youth Ambassadors are working on projects that are of real interest to them and are constantly developing their employability and work experience skills as well as developing a really useful network of contacts.

Our Ambassador programme is youth-led and is structured on the principles of great youth social action.

What could you be doing during those 15 hours?

Alexa Jane Youth Ambassador 2014

Alexa - Jane

"I joined YEUK as the work that they promoted on their website looked like something that I would be interested. I was previously a member of Bright Futures and I found out about YEUK through them. During my time as a Youth Ambassador, I feel that I have been given great opportunities to network and build my skills, as I have completed my NVQ L4 Diploma in IAG and safeguarding training with NCC. I was really happy to meet other Youth Ambassadors as we all have a lot in common. We are passionate about youth issues and want to bring about positive changes. We all have different causes, but we are a collective force for change."

"My journey so far with YEUK has prompted me to question the notion of how my actions can have a wider impact on young people today and therefore has motivated me to never give up on doing what is right."
